Member of the Month
Every now and then we will be awarding a member with their very own bib. If you have anyone you would like to nominate please go to the Contact page.
The latest member of the month gucci bib is awarded to Nick Knight. Nick joined BMF in March 2010 and took his first fitness assessment in April where he struggled to complete a full sit up. Six months of hard BMFing meant that on the October fitness assessment Nick smashed out 56 sit ups and is a very worthy addition to the exclusive BMF Brighton MOM club. Nick will now BMF in RED 56 bib although I'm sure that will soon be a GREEN bib. Nick's "SIR" title is due to the fact that he educated both instructors Chris and Craig, although as Nick finished educating Craig in 2005 yet Craig is still in full time education attempting to gain a GCSE in PE we probably shouldn't mention it!

Congratulations to Perdy who finally gets her gucci bib. Perdy has been a member for nearly 6 years and has worked her way up from the blue group to the green group before having 6 weeks off to have a baby and then returning to the blues and again working her way up to the greens before taking another 6 weeks off to have baby number 2. Perdy will now wear Green Bib 2. We are unaware if we will need to purchase Green Bib 3?
Congratulations to Alex, Lloyd & Neil who have all passed the Potential Royal Marines Course (PRMC) and will be heading off to the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre very soon to begin the most arduous training regime in the British Military (Instructor Dave was actually taller than the lads when he started his commando training). In preparation for life as a "Nod" (Royal Marines Recruit) they each get their own Special bib for BMF'ing and will not be allowed to wear a green bib until they have their "green lids". No prizes for guessing which Nod has already served in the army (sort your bib out Nod 42, you aint a pongo now!).
Jinny is the worthy recipient of the latest MOM, earning her gucci bib by smashing the fitness assessment. Having recently moved from the glorious North, Jinny asked for some top tips to help her get to the top of the fitness scores table and within two months had achieved her goal scoring a massive 457 points. Jinny now wears bib 43 (she wanted it pointed out that this is not her age but actually the number of points off the maximum her score is) although she has already stated that she intends to improve her score, watch this space.......
BMFer Dave celebrates becoming a sexagenarian with his very own BMF bib awarded by his family. To celebrate reaching this diamond age, not only does Dave qualify for a special BMF rate but also receives a free month of membership although from now on all exercises must be done in sets of 60. Happy 60th Birthday Grandad Dave.

Claire has been a member of BMF since Oct 08. Commited to BMF and getting fitter, always showing massive determination. Her attendance record through all weathers reflects her commitment, she keeps motivated through a session and really gives it her all no matter how hard it gets. Claire gets so much enjoyment out of BMF and her efforts are a real inspiration to anyone who BMF's with her. She has been nominated by numerous other BMF'ers for the MOM award. A regular at Run Club despite
claiming to be a non-runner, recently returned to the BLUES following an operation and will very soon be back with her own RED bib digging out blind, a BMF inspiration.
Tania has been a member of BMF for over 3 years, originally refusing to BMF anywhere except Hove Park, but was eventually lured over to Preston Park. She has now attended every single class time and venue in BMF Brighton as well as every Run Special and is dangerously close to attending her 500th BMF session. Tania's bib (now framed) hangs proudly in her home, a very worthy MOM.

Craig Lawes is awarded a personalised bib for outstanding contribution to member recruitment, not only has Craig made everyone in his office join BMF but they also have a phot of Area Manager Keith as their computer screen saver, BMF lunatics or just stalkers, congratulations!

Tom Morris is the latest member to be awarded his own personalised Gucci bib for outstanding performance including being a member of the BMF Brighton "500 Club" and smashing the recent Stanmer Stagger Challenge. Once described as a "Keen, mean, green jelly Bean" Tom will now wear "Bean 99" bib, hoofin!

- George & Bruno/Bruno & George receive their Gucci BMF bibs for a great attendance record, digging out blind at every session and the correct and succint use of the word "hoofin!" Well done fellas!

- Kate couldn't decide whether to go to the reds so we decided to make the decision for her by getting her a personalised red bib (which she never wears) She also has an excellent attendance record even in some pretty grim conditions (I'm talking about the weather here not her hygiene or dress sense!)

- Darren has reached the magnificent score of 500 on the fitness assessment so he has been awarded his own personal Gucci bib to wear. You can't miss him, he now has Darren written across his chest. (Lizzie and Marianne finally get on the website too!)

- Another Mel, this time Mel Heneghan, receives a much coverted personal BMF bib for increasing her fitness test score by 98, that is nearly 100. Brilliant effort!

- Finally we have got Dave Maden his own personal bib. He is a regular attendee of BMF, and has kept badgering us for a special bib ever since he saw Mel receive hers 2 years ago. One less to wash!

- Mel has been a regular at BMF for a while now, has been a Green for just as long and is always punctual! So now she can turn up ready to go, on time, all the time from now on.

- Dean Hanson is the latest member to receive his own bib. Having recruited a dozen new members and notching up an impressive 433 on the Fitness Test placing him 10th on the leaderboard he truly deserves his Gucci new bib.

Spring 2007: Dave Brooks and Louise Brooks are the latest lucky members to receive their own Gucci personalised bibs. Having recently got married they get bibs with Mr B & Mrs B written on them. The one on the left is not Louise but the one on the right is Dave.

- Andy Bain Smith is our longest serving male member and has seen BMF Brighton grow from 2 sessions a week to 7 brilliant sessions a week, 1 venue to 3 venues and 4-5 people per session to 50-60 people per session. Well done Andy.

- Elaine Anderson has been our longest serving member, having joined way back in June 2003. She will be presented with her own bib and rightfully wears 01. Unfortunately she has injured her hand (not at BMF) and has been out of action for a couple of weeks.

- Mel Darwell for notching up an impressive attendance record in the last month despite wind, rain, mud and Dave.
