Get fit outside - feel good inside.

BMF Brighton Marathon Training

The first Brighton Marathon will be held on Sunday 18th April 2010 and plenty of BMF'ers will be taking part.  The race is full so why not come and cheer along the 100+ BMF'ers who have entered.

The Brighton Marathon needs volunteers! To help make make this Brighton event brilliant go to http://www.brightonmarathon.co.uk/volunteers.html

BMF Brighton recommends members who are undertaking the marathon to take advantage of the BMF Run Club Sessions on Mondays and Thursdays (technical and interval training aspects of running), the usual BMF sessions (working on the core/strength aspects of running helping to prevent injury through additional running)

In order to help with your marathon preparations BMF Brighton is currently hosting a special Sunday Morning Marathon Running Session.  Every Sunday we shall meet at the Peace Statue at Hove Lawns at 0800 and undertake longer runs. The runs will be time based (please bring a watch) so it doesn't matter what your ability or ambitions are. The time will increase weekly and this session will be suitable for all abilities as it is time rather than distance based.

Members can also decide exactly how long they want to run for and increase or decrease the suggested time.

This session is for all BMF'ers who are interested in running, you do not have to be training or entered in the marathon to take part.

BMF Brighton will also be undertaking a number of local races in preparation for the marathon, so if you have never raced before or just want to car share then sign up and let us know what races you are doing.  Details of the races are on the Events page, click HERE for details

Feel free to ask any of the Instructors about marathon training and take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and experience in the BMF Brighton Team.
