The Israeli Sports Centre for the Disabled is a home base for more than 2,500 disabled Israelis, mostly children.

Naomi House (The Wessex Children's Hospice Trust) is a purpose built children’s hospice, situated near Winchester in Hampshire. The hospice provides, free of charge, care and support to children and young people who are not expected to live to become adults. The support we offer to them includes respite breaks, emergency and end-of-life care. Naomi House is open every day of the year, and aims to provide one-to-one care for the children who visit.

BMF'er Kath is a self confessed non runner, and not actually liking running very much, doesn't know what came over her late last year when she thought it would be a really good idea to set herself the goal of running Brighton's first ever marathon. There have been many moments of reflection, usually when being hailed or snowed on, where she has questioned this rather rash decision but now in it and determined to do it.  Raising money for the Make a Wish foundation that grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.  Please sponsor her at www.justgiving.com/kathleenbrighton

BMF'er Jen is running her first marathon in Brighton, although less than a year ago the idea of running 26 miles was, to say the least, crazy - as at the time she was training for her first 10k. It still seems a little crazy, but with the help of quite a few people, especially quite a few fellow BMF'ers, it does now seem a bit more possible. Jen is running in aid of Amnesty, who work to protect human rights across the world. Please sponsor her at www.justgiving.com/jenmarathonamnesty

BMF'er Nikki is running the Brighton Marathon and raising money for cancer research.  "Please sponsor me and I will do my very best to get to the finish line as quickly as I can. Some of it may be a hobble as I am a little bit injured at the moment, but i will do my very best - if only to get to the fish and chip shop before it closes!" BMF'er Tara is running the Brighton Marathon and she is raising money for The Children of Sumatra which is a small, grass roots charity run by her friend in Indonesia. They carry out operations on children with cleft palate and hare lip and have transformed hundreds of young lives. A couple of years ago Tara visited Indonesia and was lucky enough to meet some of the children that the charity has helped and has seen first hand the dramatic improvements to their quality of life.

Instructor Jon is running the Brighton Marathon and realising that 26.2 miles in itself is not enough pain for a commando trained Brighton BMF Instructor has decided to don a 40lb military bergan but only if he manages to raise £500 for Help 4 Heroes before the start of the marathon.  Please help to make Jon's marathon experience so much more painful by donating at www.justgiving.com/jon-street

Three Peaks Challenge

Mount Kenya Mountain Madness Climb

BMF'er Claire is suffering mountain madness and is going to climb Mount Kenya and support a Free the Children community in Sikirar in the Maasai Mara.  Although secretly hoping to charter a helicopter to take her straight to the top, Claire is a regular at BMF training in a bid to at least attempt to shuffle up the mountain.  This is a massive personal challenge for Claire.  Altitude sickness and the fact she can’t stand heights should prove for an entertaining and eventful trek!

The aim is for the ‘Mount Kenya Mountaineers’ to raise at least £12,000. This works out at approx £200 per person and will fund a ‘community garden’ and ‘build and equip one classroom’, This is something that is really important to me and I really want to play my part in helping the children.   Help Claire to reach her fundraising target by clicking HERE
